It is with exhaustion and relief that we process the guilty verdict of Derek Chauvin’s trial today. While the entire world witnessed the senseless killing of George Floyd last summer, and though justice can never be done because George Floyd should be alive today, this was the next closest action. To the Black community, our hearts are with you. We will continue to stand up for racial justice in ways large and small. All Black Lives Matter, today and everyday. We have a long way to go to realize racial justice and equality, but today we feel just a littler closer.
