Populus Group is honored and incredibly excited to announce we have been selected as an honoree in the Daily Herald Business Ledger’s Diversity in Business Awards. The awards profile businesses who have shown commitment to and advancement of diversity and inclusion in the workplace. Populus Group and the other honorees will be profiled in a special publication of the Daily Herald Business Ledger published on Monday, Sept. 13, 2021 - check it out here. We believe, at our core, that everyone deserves the opportunity to succeed, and we are excited to be able to share this philosophy and some of the ways we live our mission.
At the heart of Populus Group is the belief that everyone deserves the opportunity to succeed. This is our mission and value statement that drives our business forward. Our unique culture and values ensure that we focus on giving back. Populus Group was created with diversity in mind, not only providing a diverse-owned firm to help customers increase their diversity spend capture and engagement, but also to use this business as a platform to drive advancement of the diverse, underrepresented or underprivileged populations in our communities. Everything we do, from our service offerings to our hiring practices to our support models, embodies these values.
“It is a true honor to be included in this year’s Diversity in Business Awards from the Daily Herald Business Ledger. Populus Group is passionate about our home communities, like the Chicago-area, and helping to guide, mentor and drive forward businesses and those around us.”
-Mario Lambert, Diversity & Inclusion Board Member
To qualify for this award, we put together a comprehensive submission package which included organizational information as well as details regarding our mission, diversity and inclusion initiatives inside Populus Group and how we give back both in the Lisle community surrounding our regional Populus Group office and nationwide. Among these initiatives include:
- Community service and involvement in our local communities
- Our standing as a minority and veteran owned business helping customers capture diversity spend to meet their goals
- Choosing to work with companies who align with & support our values
- Mentoring other small, local diverse suppliers across the nation
- Internal employee resource groups (ERGs)
- Education & training for our internal team on diversity & inclusion, biases and more
- Individual team members’ contributions to their communities
- And more.
The Daily Herald Business Ledger is the leading provider of business news in suburban Chicago. With a local office in the Chicago area, it was important to us to work with a publication similarly passionate about and dedicated to the area.
